Work permits are not required in the state of Utah. The school district is expected to fulfill any requests from employers for information about the age of a potential employee who is a minor. The state of Utah considers it the responsibility of the employer to make sure that the work they are having the minor perform is allowable under Utah and Federal labor laws.
